Paul Andrews began his career in 1985 as a professional Disc Jockey as a mobile DJ and local radio personality in both SouthFlorida and Southwest Florida. Some of his accomplishments during 1985 through 1989 include:
* On air personality at WKPX FM at age 15 - hosted the FIRST ever all RAP radio show in Fort Lauderdale/Miami. Was asked at age16 to MC several rap concerts including (2 Live Crew, Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow & The legendary Run DMC)
* Worked as an "on air" personality for such radio stations as: WSHE FM (Classic Rock), WKZY FM (Country), WHYI FM (Top 40), WINZ AM (news reporter/anchor, talk show producer), WINK FM (Soft Rock)
* Was selected PERSONALLY in 1988 by the legendary Dick Clark as head performer and DJ for his "American Bandstand Grill" in Bayside, Florida.
*Was selected as the head DJ and lead entertainer for Woody's On The Beach - North Miami Beach, Florida (club owned by Rolling Stones'
guitarist Ron Wood)
* Was selected as the FIRST professional DJ to play for Walt Disney's Pleasure Island - Orlando, Florida.
* Worked as ship DJ and entertainer in 1989 for Discovery Cruises - Miami, Florida
* MC'd concerts as DJ and radio personality for (Don McLean, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Chicago, Sam Kinison and Wynonna Judd)
*Worked for several booking agencies in Florida including: Lawrence of Florida (Coral Springs, Florida) and Vito Splendorio's First Class Sounds (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) performing many Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Weddings and Private functions.
In 1993, Paul Andrews relocated his DJ career to Dallas/Fort Worth.
During that time frame, he worked for such notable music companies in a manager type capacity such as Sound Warehouse, Blockbuster Music, and eventually joined Bill Cody's Party Time Productions. During his
11 year relationship with that company, he has recieved many awards including Entertainer Of The Year in 2001. He also became one of the most sought after DJ's on the comapny roster by brides and Mitzvah families alike.
Paul has shared the stage with such notable celebrities in Dallas like Chuck Berry, Dick Clark, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, George Clinton & The P Funk All Stars, Ruben Studdard, Mary Wilson of The Supremes, Hootie & The Blowfish, Toby Keith, Jeff Carson, the late Gary Stewart, Jamie Foxx, Bruce Hornsby, Dave Koz and Michael Bolton. He has hosted many corporate functions with many Fortune 500 companies and has shared the field as an MC at Texas Stadium with such legendary Dallas Cowboys' players including: Troy Aikman, Randy White, Roger Staubach, Emmitt Smith, Ed "Too Tall" Jones, Drew Pearson, Daryl Johnston & Michael Irvin).
In 2004, Paul Andrews has hand selected as the lead DJ for Gilley's Dallas --- and still works at this venue today 5 years later on a corporate function basis.
In 2002, Paul joined the team of Perfect Image - one of Dallas'
upcoming agencies - as well as Absolute Entertainment and many other notable agencies. He has "cemented" himself as one of the most sought after disc jockeys in Dallas/Fort Worth and has taken his show as far as South Texas, Louisana, Maryland and Oklaholma.
In 2009 - Paul Andrews is celebrating his pre-25th Anniversary in the entertainment industry - by continuing to perform weddings, private functions, corporate style entertainment --- and adding new entertainment options like gunfight shows, Santa Claus & holiday characters, sound man and MC for many local bands, continuing to play public clubs throughout Dallas --- and remaining on the top of the list of over 20 venues throughout Dallas/Fort Worth as a preferred vendor. |
